An annotated bibliography is similar to a cited page but it definitely has more information included. According to Purdue online writing lab a bibliography is a list of sources someone has used on their research topic. Also according to Purdue online writing lab an annotation is an evaluation or summary of the source, or just a summary or evaluation. We are doing an annotated bibliography in class so we can get practice for our future classes that will want an annotated bibliography, understand what our research topic is about, also helping other researchers find out more information (Purdue OWL). Annotated bibliographies are a good way to make sure you are using the sources you say you are using and it kind-of gives you a boundary as well. For example, say you are researching something and you found all the sources you need. Well by creating an annotated bibliography you create a list of all the resources you can use because all your resources would be organized. It is definitely worth a researchers time to create an annotated bibliography because it also could kind-of help with the appearance of your research. Someone could be evaluating your annotated bibliography and it could make the appearance of your research well.
